18 km from Basirhat, Taki is an ideal picnic as well as weekend spot in tranquil surroundings. Avoiding ebb-tide, one can take a motor boat from the ferry jetty in front of Atithishala for a ½ hour ride to Rajnagar Island, created by the tidal wave of Ichhamati.Ichhamati has swallowed the Taki Rajbari. A little away is the Ramkrishna Mission, on the way is Kuleshwari Kalibari. Also there are twin Shiva Temples on the bank of a pond, Nandadulal Temple at Jalalpur.
